This was how she was presented with a unique opportunity, that of managing one of the clinics in Torroella de Montgr\u00ed where she was working. At only 24 years of age, Elena began managing, in conjunction with the clinic\u2019s dentist, the everyday needs of the surgery. The confidence shown by the Medical Director enabled Elena to take over complete management for the next 3 years. During this time she created the dental service with the medical team of the Rosas primary healthcare centre while holding the position of Associate Professor (Integrated Adult Dentistry) in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Barcelona. It was in 1997 when she considered the possibility of opening a clinic in Banyoles, very close to the emblematic lake, and the town where Albert, her husband, was born. In order to continue looking after people\u2019s dental health, she decided to open the doors of the Dorca dental clinic in Banyoles.
