It all began when Elena, Medical Director of the Dorca dental clinic, worked in different dental surgeries to acquire experience in the world of dentistry. This was how she was presented with a unique opportunity, that of managing one of the clinics in Torroella de Montgrí where she was working.

At only 24 years of age, Elena began managing, in conjunction with the clinic’s dentist, the everyday needs of the surgery. The confidence shown by the Medical Director enabled Elena to take over complete management for the next 3 years.

During this time she created the dental service with the medical team of the Rosas primary healthcare centre while holding the position of Associate Professor (Integrated Adult Dentistry) in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Barcelona.

It was in 1997 when she considered the possibility of opening a clinic in Banyoles, very close to the emblematic lake, and the town where Albert, her husband, was born.

In order to continue looking after people’s dental health, she decided to open the doors of the Dorca dental clinic in Banyoles.
